Kotka Old Port will be Finland’s first waterfront designer outlet

Strategically located approximately an hour from the centre of Helsinki with easy access for both Finnish and Russian shoppers, the mixed use harbor side setting will include marina, international ferry and cruise terminal, bus and rail interchange, hotels, leisure, restaurants, supermarkets and apartments as well as the existing National Maritime Museum. The location is excellent, and Kotka has an exciting heritage of history and culture. There is a good and very experienced team developing the project.

The team have been engaging with the brands for about a year about taking space in the Kotka Old Port Designer Outlet and the response has been encouraging. There has been significant interest from brands to take space in Kotka Old Port. The leasing is being spearheaded from the UK, Finland and Italy with a view to putting together an unrivalled mix of national, European and international retailers. It is too early to name specific retailers butbrands are now selecting units and reserving space.

The Designer Outlet is due to open in July 2017 to coincide with the Tall Ships race visiting Kotka Harbour and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Finland events.
